Dr. Bukola Omotomilola Adetola is a Lecturer in the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State Nigeria. She holds Bachelor of Agricultural Technology in Fisheries and Wildlife from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Master of Science in Wildlife Management and the Ph.D. Degree in Wildlife and Ecotourism Management from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria in the year 2001, 2004 and 2015 respectively. She added a Graduate Certificate in Endangered Species Management from the University of Kent United Kingdom in 2015.

In 2009, she joined the Department of Ecotourism and Wildlife Management, Federal University of Technology, Akure Nigeria with the responsibilities of teaching, research and community service. Her main areas of research interest are in the field of biodiversity conservation with focus on the conservation ecology and management of endangered species both in-situ and ex-situ, non consumptive utilization of biodiversity (ecotourism), ecotourism Policy and Planning, communicating the benefits of sustainable natural resources use to rural communities (works closely with park-dependent communities), students, young people, policy makers and other stakeholders. She is a well focused researcher with good publications in peer reviewed journals and proceedings. Dr. Adetola is a Member of Society for Conservation Biology, Tropical Biology Association, Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD), Ecological Society of Nigeria (EcSON), Forestry Association of Nigeria (FAN), Association of Women in Forestry and Environment (AWIFE), Durrell Conservation Learning Network (DCLN).

She has served as Resource Person on career and conservation education talk to young people (primary, secondary and tertiary school students) within and outside Nigeria amongst which are Teenage Volunteer at Durrell Wildlife Park (Jersey Zoo), St John’s School, Jersey Island, United Kingdom to mention just a few. She is an experienced and dedicated teacher who delights in helping student learn well to achieve set goals. Her interest in environmental Conservation instigated her membership in the Netlink Environmental Conservation Organization (NECOR) where she oversees the organization’s tasks in the area of wildlife, biodiversity and ecotourism management.
